Abstract

The process is for the manufacture of a plate-shaped constructional component having stiffening ribs on one side, also an adhesive mass of filling material such as synthetic resin foam. A baseplate is first provided on one side with a mixture of the ingredients of the foam, and as the foam is formed the ribs are applied to this side and pressed into place and held there. The resin ingredients are applied in mist form, and an electrostatic field is created between the application equipment for these ingredients and the component. A conductive underlay can be used under the baseplate. Alternatively, the latter can be conductive or coated with a layer of conductive material.
