Abstract

The connector for plastic tubes, particularly corrugated tubes, is of the type comprising two half-shells (2, 3) capable of being secured to the tubes to be connected. The half-shells are at one side permanently connected by a hinge (4) whilst on the other side (6), locking means (7, 8) are provided. The interior of the shells may be provided with tube retaining means (9, 10). The hinge may consist of an area of reduced wall thickness. The shells may be made in a thermoplastic material, and may be injection moulded. The tube retaining means may consist of internal projections capable of engaging the tube corrugations. The connector may have a branch section with lateral or helical profile.
