Abstract

The bearing is intended for a rotating shaft (1) with a stationary support (4) and is of the type where the shaft end and the support have corresponding rotationally symmetrical, co-axial bearing surfaces (2, 3) which, in operation, contain a lubricant between them (5), one of the surfaces (2) being provided with a regular groove pattern (6) to move the lubricant. A further groove pattern (7) is provided on one of the surfaces, the arrangement being such that this second pattern tends to move the lubricant in opposite direction.
