Abstract

m-Phenylenediamine derivs of formula (I) are new: (where R1 is 3-5C cycloalkyl (esp. cyclopropyl), 2-furyl or tetrahydro-2-furyl; R2 is lower alkyl) and cpds. (I) are selective herbicides active against a wide range of grassy and broad-leaf weeds; they are esp. useful for the pre-emergence control of wild oats (Avena fatua), both in broad-leaf and in graminaceous (cereal, rice) crops.
