Abstract

The machine is particularly for handling paprikas, and has a frame with sorting augers rotating towards each other in synchronism, the intervals between them being adjustable, while apertures increasing in size are situated between the augers so that the fruit falls through them. One or more of the augers comprises a number of different sections (5), carried in bearings which are separately adjustable. One or more of the augers can be in brush form, with plastic bristles, the long bristles being stiffer than the short ones. There can be a set of guide rollers above each set of augers.
