Abstract

The cage is for use with a rotary knife shredding and mixing ingredients in a bowl, and has bars enclosing the knife and which are of different lengths. They can be arranged in a regular pattern round the knife and of two different lengths, there being a short one between each pair of long ones. The design avoids any sucking effect of the knife towards the base of the bowl, while giving adequate protection against accidental contact with it by the fingers etc.
