Abstract

A housing extends at right angles to the direction of travel, and accommodates a number of mowing rotors with their drive mechanism, each rotor having a disc with one or more knives fixed to the periphery, while one or more have swath dividers. The divider has two or more ribs (9) spaced round the rotor and extending upwards from the disc (4). Between the ribs are segments of the circular disc, which are virtually uncovered. The ribs can be formed by the edges of plates extending in the radial direction, or by sections of bar or pipe.
