Abstract

The device has a centralising shaft (5) around which cutting blocks (8, 9) are arranged, and a pressing nut (18). The two cutting blocks (8, 9) are during the cutting operation on either side of the sheet material (7), one of the cutting blocks (8) being forced through the sheet (7) and into the other block (9) by the pressing nut (18). One cutting block (8) is preferably axially inserted into the second block (9), which may have an angular cutting edge to produce an angular opening (13) in the sheet (7). The cutting block (8) may have a cutting edge (10A, 10B) which is tapered in a direction from a corner of the element to its centre.
