Abstract

The equipment is for use with an ornament having a fixing device with two components working together, one sliding in relation to the other for coupling and uncoupling. The sliding component has a cam, touching a contact when sliding takes place and thus closing an electrical circuit switching on an acoustic alarm audible by the wearer. The sliding portion and the contact can be mounted on a housing containing the alarm and battery, and the sliding portion can be in the form of a hollow bush, accommodating the outer end of a pin. A hinged lid can be provided on the housing to protect the battery inside, the housing also accommodating a monostable multivibrator and a miniature loudspeaker.
