Abstract

The recorded information is retained in the form of variable time intervals between optical records at two levels of intensity. The input information is generated by a laser source of 300kHz with an intensity variation of about 15% fed to the record track through a half-silvered mirror and lens. The return reflection from the track may be reflected to an electronic detector circuit. The record is in the form of a rotating sensitive member with the laser light beam impinging at a more-or-less constant angle. Several track records may be made in a concentric or semi-concentric manner.
