Abstract

High precision workpieces are carried along assembly stations on mounting blocks movable along a continuous guide track in the top panel of an assembly table. The top panel together with the mounting blocks is easily detachable from the base and may e.g. as a whole be transferred to another assembly table or to a place where new workpieces are supplied. The drive means for the mounting blocks are mainly caused in the base and are easily connectable or disconnectable. Assembly tables of this type are used for the manufacture of watches, photographic apparatus, measuring instruments etc.
