Abstract

Appts. for continuous prodn. of hollow containers form a solid thermoplastic polymer compsn in the form of powder or granules has a vertical support construction carrying a square mounting plate on its upper end, this plate being vertically movable around a horizontal axle mounted in a cross beam of the support construction, and rotatable around its centre point over an angle of >=90 degrees. The plate carries an even number of rotational axles one half being mutually parallel and situated in one plane, and the other mutually parallel half laying in a plane parallel to the first plae, these planes being parallel to the plate and each axle being supported by >=2 bearings placed on the plate. The axles of the one plane are perpendicular to those of the other plane, extend outside the periphery of the plate, and carry mould fastening devices on their ends so that the moulds rotate together with the axles when the latter are driven by electric motors placed on the plate. The frame carries a system of heaters parallel to a pair of sides of the plate for heating the moulds, and is fixed to the swinging axle of the plate so that it follows the swinging movement together with the heated moulds. A drive mechanism is provided for vertically moving the plate and rotating the plate around its centre. Relatively small containers are rapidly produced.
