Abstract

The sides of the tricks (needle grooves of a knitting machine) are made singly on other machine tools with a castellated projection. They are then oil placed around the circumference of a cylinder, the castellated projections fitting a groove around the periphery of the cylinder. From the inside of the cylinder a binding material is injected which holds these units in posn to forma complete knitting cylinder. The same technique can be applied to the dial.
