Abstract

Information reproducing appts. has a liquid crystal layer, electrodes on both sides of the liquid crystal layer, an insulating layer coating the electrodes on >=1 side of the liq. crystal layer, and a device for supplying pulsating rectified tension to the electrodes. Specif. the electrode consists of an aluminium layer which is coated with a layer of Al2O3 as insulating layer on the side of the liquid crystal. Decomposition of the liquid crystal by electrolysis as a result of the use of rectified tension is avoided.
