Abstract

Apparatus for the extraction and filtration of plant samples, more especially sugar beet samples, consisting of a combination of known laboratory equipment and transport mechanisms together with new elements, and comprising, a number of funnel-shaped extraction vessels with automatically operated closures, simultaneously acting as filters; and rib-shaped removable inserts for the extraction vessels, into which S-shaped stirrers are automatically swung by a central drive mechanism, and automatically swung away after the end of the extraction and thereby automatically cleaned.
