Phenyl- or thienyl-alkylidene amino-oxy-alkanoic acids basic esters - as antiinflammatory agents and analgesics. Cpds. (I), their salts and medicaments contg. them where A is S or -CH=CH-, R1 is halogen, CF3 or Me, R2 is halogen while R1 or R2 may be H, R3 is H or Me, R5 is 1-5C alkylene, m and n are 0 or 1 and m + n is 1 or 2 R5 is 1-6C-alkylene opt. substd. by phenyl, Y is 5 or 6-membered cyclic hydrocarbyl residue or Y-N(R6 or R7) is a mono- or bi-cyclic heterocyclic ring of up to 10 ring atoms and opt. contg. S and opt. substd. by Me, R6 and R7 are H or 1-8C alkyl (and together up to 80C) opt. substd. by OH, 1-4C-alkoxy or a residue (II). and R6 is 3-8C cycloalkyl, phenyl, halophenyl, totyl, 7-9C-phenylalkyl, pyridyl or acyl (up to 10C) or NR6R7 is a mono or bicyclic heterocyclic residue of up to 10 ring atoms and opt. contg. O or a further N atom, are prepd. by methods for forming basic esters or oxime ethers.
