Biocidal and/or deodorising compsn. in gel form consisting essentially of 1-6 wt.% of a gelling agent and 94-99 wt.% of an aqs. medium comprising a volatile biocidal and/or deodorising agent, in which the gelling agent is a mixture of kappa and iota carrageenans in a wt. ratio of 15:1:7:1. Pref. 35:1.
