Abstract

Cover layer or panel is produced by placing a bulky layer of synthetic threads in or on a bitumen layer. Specif. the bulky thread layer is formed by a filament fleece, or a woven or knitted fabric with a thickness of at least 5mm. The bulky thread layer has a thickness almost equal to that of the bitumen layer. The layer or panel has a thickness of at least 1 cm. The bulky thread layer projects 25-30 cm outside bitumen layer. Used for covering footpaths, cycle tracks, roofs, reservoir bottoms or river banks.
