Abstract
An explosive is placed on one side of the workpiece and detonated so that the latter is deformed and perforated but pref. only deformed. The workpiece is applied with the side which is to undergo convex deformation to a receding base supported on the side which is turned away from the workpiece. The type of deformation and its extent is determined by the quantity and positioning of the explosive charge on the other side of the workpiece. Specif. plastic explosive is used. Used for decorating constructional elements, deep-drawing of industrial products, and manufacturing moulds for the plastics industry.
