Description
LIDING SLEEVE FOR APPLYING CLOTHING
Tieid of the invention
The present invention relates to a sleeve in a smooth woven material which is sewn together to form a sleeve which is smooth on both sides. The sleeve is closed at one end and is provided with a handle connected at one end and the opening.
Object of the invention
One objective of the invention is to easier dressing and undressing of a person, e.g. for a caretaker to dress or undress a patient. The invention is used for application over a leg or arm, to more easily put on or take off a blouse/overcoat or a pair of trousers on a person in lying or sitting position.
This is to avoid unnecessary bending, lifting, or turning of the person and to avoid friction of clothes against moist or delicate skin when dressing or undressing.
The known method used today is to use a smooth woven fabric which is folded and applied over a person's legs or arms, in order to dress or undress the person more easily.
This method often appears unsuitable, as it is difficult to control the fabric with the result that folds in the fabric are formed.
Another, known and used method is to use a smooth form-stitched sleeve that is pulled up over a user's leg, whereafter a pair of trousers is applied over this sleeve and pulled onto the user's leg for dressing the person. This may cause problems if the pair of trousers fits tight to the user, or if the person has wet or delicate skin. When the sleeve is pulled off, there can occurs a resulting an un- necessary great friction against the person's skin on the legs.
Furthermore, it is generally difficult to apply clothing to arms and legs of another person, as it of- ten results in great friction against the person’s skin.
One objective of the invention is achieved by a sliding sleeve for applying to arms or legs for dressing a person.
The sliding sleeve has an outer surface, an inner surface, a first end with an opening for applying the sleeve to an arm or a leg, a second end and is made of a smooth woven fabric for reduced fric- tion.
The sliding sleeve comprises one or more ribbons configured to extending along the outer surface of the sleeve, said ribbons being attached to the first opening, so that when pulling the ribbon, the sleeve will fold with the open end being folded over and along the outer surface of the sleeve, so that the sleeve is rolled of the leg or arm so that no friction occurs against the skin when removing the sleeve i.e. no friction occurs between the inner surface and the skin when removing the sleeve.
The inner surface will face the skin of user, while the outer surface will never face the skin of the user. The outer surface will mainly face the cloth at the time of removal of the sleeve, but before pulling the first opening will be folded such that outer surface will face the outer surface closer to the second opening. The pulling on the ribbons will cause sleeve to bend away from the skin, such that the part of inner surface facing skin remain stationary until the inner surface is bend away from the skin. Thereby, friction between the inner surface and the skin is prevented.
In one embodiment of the sliding sleeve, the one or more ribbons are attached opposite to each other along the periphery of the opening of the first end.
In one embodiment of the sliding sleeve, the one or more ribbons are fastened to the second end.
In one embodiment, the sliding sleeve comprises a fixed fold.
One objective of the invention is achieved by a use of the sleeve according to any of the embodi- ments of the sliding sleeve for dressing a person by applying the sleeve on the person’s arm or leg, said sleeve being applied to the person before applying the clothes and after, and after applying the clothes over the sliding sleeve, then the ribbon is pulled for removing the sleeve by sliding the open first end along the outer surface of the sleeve
In the embodiments where the sleeve does not comprise a fixed fold, the sleeve is folded at the first opening with the opening being arranged at the outer surface of the sleeve. The sleeve is folded ei- ther prior to applying it to the person during application or after but before applying the clothes.
One objective of the invention is achieved by a method for dressing a person comprising acts of: - applying the sliding sleeve according to any of the disclosed embodiments of the sliding sleeve to the person’s arm of leg by entering the arm or leg into the sleeve through the opening at the first end, - applying clothes to the arm or leg on top of the sliding sleeve,
- pulling the ribbon to fold the opening at the first end over the outer surface of the sleeve and along the outer surface of the sleeve, so that the sleeve is rolled of the leg or arm so that no friction occurs against the skin when removing the sleeve.
In the embodiments where the sleeve does not comprise a fixed fold, the method includes an act of folding the sleeve at the first opening with the opening being arranged at the outer surface of the sleeve,
Sliding sleeves for applying to arms or legs, to more easily pull a trouser/blouse/shirt etc. over this.
In addition, the invention is made of a smooth woven fabric to more easily apply to feet or arms and where clothing is easy to apply over to the invention. The invention is supplied and which is new with a ribbon attached at both ends. This with a and which is new, fold in its opening, to which its two bands are attached. After the clothing has been applied to the person and which is new, it is removed by alternately pulling on its bands, which is new causes its opening to start roll- ing/sliding towards itself on the outside and which is new in that no friction occurs against delicate skin when removing the invention.
The technical problem is that you often have to lift, bend arms or feet unnecessarily or roll from side to side next to a lying person, in order to put on the blouse or trousers. This also applies when the blouse/shirt or trousers have to be taken off. Unnecessary twisting also often occurs, as well as unnecessary friction to moist or delicate skin, where you, as an assistant, make inappropriate lifts of heavy legs.
The technical problem consists in applying unnecessary friction to users with wet or delicate skin when, the according to known technique is used when removing the sleeve consisting of a layer or pulling off clothes that have high friction in the weave.
The new technique consists of a form-stitched sleeve in a smooth material and which is new con- sisting of two layers to apply over a user's arm or leg. In addition. a tight blouse or tight trousers will be significantly easier to put on. In the case of moist or delicate skin and which is new, the in- vention rolls the user's arms or legs.
A form-stitched sleeve which is pulled over the user's arms or feet in connection with dressing of trousers on the user's legs or a blouse/shirt on the user's arms. The sleeve according to the inven- tion has an embodiment that causes it to create low friction around the back of the shoulder area.
when applied to the arm, also that friction becomes low at the back of the user's buttock when us- ing the embodiment that is used for applying trousers.
A blouse or a pair of trousers is then applied over the sleeve in question by sliding these up over the arm or leg, without friction. When removing the invention, the outer sleeve is pulled by grasp- ing the strap on the outermost part of the invention at the foot end. Now the sleeve is pulled out in the opening of the trousers or the opening of the blouse/shirt sleeve, whereby it rolls by the sur- faces of the inner and outer sleeves sliding against each other and where the inner sleeve, which is in direct contact with the skin, is rolled out instead of being pulled against the skin.
