Claims (28)
1. Meeraderige optische vezel omvattende: een cerste kern, omvattende met een alkalimetaal gedoteerd silicaglas; een eerste binnenbekleding die de eerste kern omgeeft; een eerste buitenbekleding die de eerste binnenbekleding omgeeft, omvattende een eerste sleufgebied met een volume van ongeveer 30 %A-micron” of groter; een tweede kern, omvattende met een alkalimetaal gedoteerd silicaglas; een tweede binnenbekleding die de tweede kern omgeeft; een tweede buitenste bekleding die de tweede binnenste bekleding omgeeft, omvattende een tweede sleufgebied met een volume van ongeveer 30 %A-micron? of groter; en een gemeenschappelijke bekleding die de eerste kern en de tweede kern omgeeft, waarbij de eerste kern en de tweede kern elk bij 1550 nm een effectieve oppervlakte hebben van ongeveer 100 micron’ of kleiner.
2. Meeraderige optische vezel volgens conclusie 1, voorts omvattende: i extra kernen, die elk met alkalimetaal gedoteerd silicaglas omvatten, waarbij 7 1 tot 18 is, waarbij elke extra kern met een alkalimetaal gedoteerd silicaglas omvat, een binnenbekleding die elke extra kern omgeeft, een buitenbekleding die elke extra kern omgeeft, waarbij elke buitenbekleding een sleufgebied omvat met een volume van ongeveer 30 %A-micron’ of groter, en een gemeenschappelijke bekleding die elke extra kern omgeeft, waarbij elke extra kern bij 1550 nm een effectieve oppervlakte heeft van ongeveer 100 micron’ of kleiner.
