Abstract

Een werkwijze en dierenobservatiesysteem tenminste voorzien van een eerste sensor, voor het uitvoeren van een eerste temperatuurmeting van een dier, waarbij, in gebruik, de eerste sensor dusdanig is gepositioneerd dat de eerste temperatuurmeting wordt beïnvloed door een lichaamstemperatuur van het dier en een omgevingstemperatuur, met het kenmerk dat het systeem verder voorzien is van een tweede sensor, voor het uitvoeren van een tweede temperatuurmeting, waarbij, in gebruik, de tweede sensor dusdanig is gepositioneerd dat de tweede temperatuurmeting ten minste wordt beïnvloed door de omgevingstemperatuur en eventueel ook de lichaamstemperatuur waarbij de tweede temperatuurmeting op een andere wijze afhankelijk is van de omgevingstemperatuur en eventueel de lichaamstemperatuur dan de eerste temperatuurmeting, en een verwerkingseenheid voor het in combinatie verwerken van tenminste de eerste temperatuurmeting en de tweede temperatuurmeting voor het bep alen van de lichaamstemperatuur van het dier.A method and animal observation system provided with at least a first sensor, for performing a first temperature measurement of an animal, wherein, in use, the first sensor is positioned such that the first temperature measurement is influenced by a body temperature of the animal and an ambient temperature, with characterized in that the system is further provided with a second sensor for performing a second temperature measurement, wherein, in use, the second sensor is positioned such that the second temperature measurement is influenced at least by the ambient temperature and possibly also the body temperature at which the second temperature measurement depends on the ambient temperature and optionally the body temperature in a different way than the first temperature measurement, and a processing unit for combining at least the first temperature measurement and the second temperature measurement for determining the body temperature of the animal.
