Claims (14)
1. Een door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel, omvattende: een schuimkern voorzien van een paar tegenover liggende eerste en tweede vlakken; eerste en tweede huidlagen van vezel versterkt materiaal die respectievelijk de eerste en tweede vlakken van de schuimkern bedekken; en een versterkingsdraad gestikt door elk van de huidlagen en door de schuimkern ter vorming van steken die gerangschikt zijn in een patroon over in wezen de volledige vlakken van de schuimkern, waarbij de steken de huidlagen en de kern samen verbinden ter vorming van een door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel; met het kenmerk, dat voornoemd, door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel verder eerste en tweede huidlagen van koolstofvezel-versterkingsmateriaal omvat, die respectievelijk de eerste en tweede huidlagen van vezel versterkt materiaal bedekken, waarbij een hars aanwezig is tussen voornoemde eerste en tweede huidlagen van koolstofvezelversterkingsmateriaal en voornoemde eerste en tweede huidlagen van vezel versterkt materiaal, waarbij voornoemd hars in voornoemde schuimkern is geïmpregneerd.
2. Door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusie 1, waarbij voornoemde eerste en tweede huidlagen van vezel versterkt materiaal zijn samengesteld uit vezels, gekozen uit de groep van glasvezels, koolstofvezels en aramidevezels.
3. Door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusies 1-2, waarbij voornoemde eerste en tweede huidlagen van koolstofvezelversterkings-materiaal van het type kruisweefsel (“plain weave”) zijn.
4. Door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusies 1-3, waarbij voornoemd schuim een schuim is, gekozen uit de groep van poly(ethersulfon), polymethacrylimide en polyfenylsulfon.
5. Door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusie 4, waarbij voornoemd schuim een poly(ethersulfon)schuim met een dichtheid van 40-50 kg/m3 (volgens ASTM D 1622) is.
6. Door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusies 1-5, waarbij voornoemd hars is gekozen uit de groep van hybride epoxy/polyurethaan, epoxy, polyurethaan en polyester, of een mengsel hiervan.
7. Door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusie 6, waarbij voornoemd hars van het epoxytype is.
8. Door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusies 1-7, waarbij voornoemde versterkingsdraad is gekozen uit de groep van koolstof, glas en aramide.
9. Door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusie 8, waarbij voornoemde versterkingsdraad een koolstofvezel, vervaardigd uit polyacrylonitril (PAN), is.
10. Door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusies 1-9, waarbij voornoemde steken in een niet-regelmatig patroon zijn gerangschikt.
11. Werkwijze ter vervaardiging van een door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens één of meer van de voorgaande conclusies, welke werkwijze omvat de stappen van het op een schuimkern op tegenover liggende oppervlakken hiervan aanbrengen van eerste en tweede huidlagen van vezel versterkt materiaal, het stikken van voornoemde huidlagen door voornoemde schuimkern met een versterkingsdraad over in wezen het volledige oppervlak van de kern, het impregneren met een hars en het plaatsen en samenpersen in een matrijs onder verwarmen en druk, welke werkwijze verder omvat, voordat de stap van het impregneren met een hars wordt uitgevoerd, een stap van het aanbrengen op de reeds gestikte eerste en tweede huidlagen van vezel versterkt materiaal van eerste en tweede huidlagen van koolstofvezelversterkingsmateriaal.
12. Werkwijze ter vervaardiging van een door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusie 11, waarbij vóór het aanbrengen op voornoemde schuimkern op tegenover liggende oppervlakken hiervan, van eerste en tweede huidlagen van vezelversterkingsmateriaal, voornoemde schuimkern vooraf wordt samengedrukt.
13. Werkwijze ter vervaardiging van een door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens conclusie 12, waarbij voornoemde stap van het vooraf samendrukken van voornoemde schuimkern omvat het voorverwarmen van het schuim in de nabijheid van de glasovergangstemperatuur hiervan en het vervolgens aanbrengen van druk op het schuim voor het zacht maken van het schuim.
14. Toepassing van een met vezel versterkt sandwichpaneel volgens één of meer van de conclusies 1-10, of een door stikken versterkt sandwichpaneel vervaardigd volgens één of meer van de conclusies 11-13 in het interieur voor vliegtuigen, treinen, boten en/of auto’s.
