Claims (6)

1. Werkwijze voor het produceren van een diatomeeëncultuur, omvattende het onderwerpen van een uitgangscultuur die één of meer diatomeeënsoorten omvat aan selectieve druk, zodat een concurrerend voordeel wordt gegeven aan opslagverbinding producerende diatomeeënsoorten, door het onderwerpen van genoemde uitgangscultuur, onder niet-beperkende biologisch beschikbare siliciumconcentraties, aan een cyclus van afwisselende donkerfases en lichtfases en het verschaffen van de beschikbaarheidsbeperking van essentiële groeivoedingsstoffen in één of meer van genoemde lichtfases.
2. Werkwijze voor het produceren van een diatomeeëncultuur volgens conclusie 1 die gedurende 5 of meer cycli wordt uitgevoerd.
3. Werkwijze volgens één der voorgaande conclusies, waarbij 60% of meer van het reactorvolume elke cyclus wordt vervangen.
4. Werkwijze voor het produceren van opslagverbindingen, bij voorkeur lipiden, door het onderwerpen van de volgens conclusie 2 verkregen cultuur aan biologisch beschikbare siliciumbeperking.
5. Werkwijze voor het produceren van opslagverbindingen, bij voorkeur suikers, door het onderwerpen van de volgens conclusie 2 verkregen cultuur aan stikstofbeperking.
6. Werkwijze voor het produceren van opslagverbindingen door het onderwerpen van de volgens conclusie 2 verkregen cultuur aan het geeft niet welke essentiële groeivoedingsstofbeperking, verschillend van stikstof of biologisch beschikbaar sihcium.
