Abstract

A feed package containing feed for an animal, such as horses which feed comprises substances which are rapidly perishable, the consumption package comprising a single package comprising a bag-shaped high barrier foil which is placed directly around the feed, wherein the feed comprises semi-moist feed, the substances comprise a mixture of vegetables and fruit and wherein the substances are submitted to a preservation process which provides a preservation of up to 6,5 months. The feed typically comprises 2,5-50 percent of substances and 15-25 percent of dry matter. A large part of the feed therefore consists of water in order to lower the number of calories of the feed intake of the animal. The feed is particularly beneficia! for animals with overweight.
