BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention:
The present invention relates to a blind valve for ships, 5 . especially to a blind valve, wherein its discharge holes can be adjusted by simply rotating a hand wheel construction installed on the blind valve, so as to respond the adjustment of water discharging of ships.
10 Description of Prior Art:
Blind valve is generally used in the middle section of a pipeline to discharge water or other liquid in one direction. When used in a ship, it is to timely discharge water in the pipeline. When a blind valve is in use, its two ends are 15 separately connected to a pipeline using a blind flange as a gateway that connects through the two pipelines. As the need to discharge or adjust the liquid level is aroused in a pipeline, it is by adjusting the internal components of the blind valve that such demand is fulfilled in a fine-tuning 20 fashion.

Therefore, the main objective of the present invention is to provide a hand wheel type blind valve, through rotating a hand wheel, the fluid discharge hole of blind valve can be 1 03 7 2 51 2 adjusted, such that the discharge quantity of liquid inside the main pipes of a ship can be adjusted in a very short time.
The secondary objective of the present invention is to provide a hand wheel type blind valve, it provides a 5 perpendicular screw rod to compose with valve discs, and at the external portion of the perpendicular screw rod, a protection pipe is installed, so as to increase the stability of perpendicular screw rod when it is moved up and down, such that the precision of controlling the fluid discharging is 10 improved.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

As shown in Figure 1, 2 & 3, the hand wheel type blind valve of the present invention comprises of: A valve body 100, inside which a space 2 is formed with opening at top. The valve body has a discharge hole 31, 32 at 35 each of its two sides, the discharge holes 31, 32 are interlinked with the space 2; at the outer sides of the discharge holes 31, 32 are plurality of flange hole 41 for . flange assembly. Moreover, the valve body 100 has an outlet 3 scupper 51 at the bottom, at the end of the scupper 51 is a bolt 52; A set of valve components 200 is positioned inside the space 2 of the valve body 100 and includes two valve discs 61, 5 62 that are individually used for blocking the discharge holes 31, 32; at the junction portions of the valve discs 61, 62 and discharge holes, there are installed with sealing rings 611, 621 respectively. And on each of the inner sides of valve discs 61, 62, a T shaft 612, 622 is respectively extruded 10 installed.
Between the valve discs '61, 62, there is installed with a perpendicular screw rod 63, as shown in Figure 4, at the bottom end of the perpendicular screw rod 63, there is a T furrow 631, such that the valve discs 61, 62 can respectively 15 use a T rod 612, 622 to mount into said T furrow 63Ï, so as to unite valve discs 61, 62 at the bottom end of perpendicular screw rod 63; after the valve discs 61, 62 are installed at the bottom end of the perpendicular rod 63, a sealing plate 64 together with a fixing screw 65 which can penetrate the 20 sealing plate 64 and then screws into perpendicular screw rod 63 are used for firmly fixing the valve discs 61, 62; while the upper section of said perpendicular screw rod 6 is formed with screw threads 632; A valve cover 300, positioned on top of the valve body 25 100, at the bottom of the valve cover 300 is a covering lid 71 which can completely seal the space 2 inside the valve body 100, between the covering lid 71 and the upper surface of the valve '-body 100, there is a sealing strip 72, so as to enable the valve cover 300 seal the space 2 in the valve body 100; On 30 the top end of the valve cover 300, a via hole 73 is formed for the perpendicular screw rod 63 to penetrate through; on the upper end of the via hole 73, there is an enlarged hole 74, thus after a packing 75 is put in, a gland bolt 76 is then screwed onto said perpendicular screw rod 63, so as to firmly 35 fix the packing 75 on the valve body; while said valve, cover 300 and valve body 100 are united together by a plurality of screws 771 and nuts 772.
Please refer to Figure 5, there is also a protection pipe 78 having a channel 781 for the perpendicular screw rod 63 to 4 penetrate through, there is a flange 782, 783 respectively formed at the upper and lower end of the protection pipe 78, at the central part of the flange 783, there is formed with an enlarged hole 784 for a coupling mechanism 79 to put in. The 5 lower end of said coupling mechanism 79 is formed as to enable it can be put into said enlarged hole 784, while the upper end of said coupling mechanism 79 is formed as a rectangular pipe 791 having a screw hole 792 at its center, such that the protection pipe 78 can be closely mounted with the 10 perpendicular screw rod 63. Furthermore, there is a pressing bracket 793 for firmly fixing the coupling mechanism 79 on the protection pipe 78.
There is also a hand wheel 8 having a via hole 81 at its central part for said perpendicular screw rod 63 to penetrate 15 through, the lower end of the central part of the hand wheel 8 is formed as a rectangular concave 82, thus the rectangular pipe 791 of the coupling mechanism 79 can be firmly mounted with it and then they are united together.
Based on the above construction, in order to adjust the 20 positions of valve discs 61, 62, as shown in Figure 5, rotate the hand wheel 8, then the perpendicular screw rod 63 is driven by coupling mechanism 79, the perpendicular screw rod 63 then moves upward, and the valve discs 61, 62 are moved upward. After that, the discharge holes then are opened 25 gradually. When the hand wheel 8 is reversely rotated, the valve discs then shall be driven to close the discharge holes 31, 32. Therefore, by the above mentioned construction, the open and close of discharge holes are much easier to control, then the water or fluid conditions in water exhaust pipes or 30 the fluid pipes in the ships are easy to be precisely controlled.
In conclusion, the hand wheel type blind valve of present invention has the effect of a convenient operation and an easy adjustment, and it is not disclosed and for sale previously.
