Claims

A holder for transporting golf clubs during the golf game, comprising: 5. a number of shell portions defining a space for holding the golf clubs therein; and - an access opening in the shell parts through which golf clubs can be introduced into the space; wherein 10. the golf clubs can be kept entirely within the space defined by the shell parts.

2. Holder as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that - the part of the holder where the stems of golf clubs held therein are placed is slimmer than the part of the holder where the heads of golf clubs held therein are placed.

3. Holder as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that coupling means are provided on the shell parts for coupling a second holder to the holder, so that the second holder, in coupled condition, rests against the part of the holder where the stems from therein held golf clubs.

4. Holder as claimed in any of the foregoing claims, wherein - the access opening is provided near the part of the space where the head of the golf clubs held in the space is arranged, and wherein - a golf club distribution element is arranged near the access opening in the space. 1036367

A holder according to any one of the claims 4, wherein - the heads of the golf clubs held in the space are engaged with the golf club distribution element; 5. the heads of the golf clubs held in the room are directed in the same direction by means of the golf club divider; and - the golf clubs held in the room are divided into at least a first row and a second row by means of the golf club dividing element, the heads of the first row of golf clubs being placed above the heads of the second row of golf clubs.

6. Holder according to claim one of claims 4 and 5, wherein - the golf club distribution element is arranged releasably.

7. Holder as claimed in any of the foregoing claims, wherein - the holder comprises a closing element which is slidable along a guide arranged on the shell parts around the access opening between a closed state in which the closing element closes the opening and an open state in which the closing element of the access opening has been pushed away.

8. Container as claimed in claim 7, characterized in that - the closing element is a flexible closing element.

9. Holder as claimed in any of the foregoing claims, wherein a frame is arranged on the shell parts for supporting the holder on a surface.

10. Container as claimed in claim 9, wherein the frame is pivotable between a collapsed state and at least one folded-out condition, wherein in the collapsed state the frame abuts substantially against the associated tray parts and in the folded-out condition the holder is at an angle to support the surface. 5

11. Holder as claimed in claim 10, wherein the holder comprises frame locking means for locking the frame in at least one of the collapsed state and the unfolded state.

The container of any one of claims 9 to 10 with 11, wherein the frame is releasably connected to the tray members.

A holder according to any one of claims 9 to 12, wherein a number of wheels are arranged on the frame.

14. Holder as claimed in claim 13, wherein the wheels are releasably connected to the frame.

A holder according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one handle is provided on the shell parts.

16. Holder as claimed in claim 15, wherein the handle is slidable in a guide arranged on the shell parts and extending substantially in the longitudinal direction of the holder between - a collapsed state in which the handle abuts the shell parts, and - at least one extended state in which the handle is at a distance from the shell parts.

17. Holder as claimed in claim 16, characterized in that a golf score card is arranged on the handle.

18. Holder as claimed in at least claims 7 and 16, wherein - in the retracted state, the handle is in engagement with the closing element in the closed state thereof. \

A holder according to any one of claims 15 to 18, wherein the handle is rotatably mounted about a rotation axis that extends substantially in the longitudinal direction of the holder.

The holder of any one of claims 16 to 19, wherein the holder comprises a handle lock for locking at least one of the rotation and the displacement of the handle.

21. Holder as claimed in claim 20, wherein the handle lock comprises a lock.

22. Holder as claimed in any of the foregoing claims, wherein a number of compartments are arranged on the shell parts.

23. Holder as claimed in claim 22, wherein the compartments 15 are integrated in shell parts.
