Abstract

The closure for a drinks bottle comprises a metal/plastic cap with a metal/plastic band (6) which can be drawn away by a lever (7) on two opposite sides (9,10). The lever can be locked in position with its flat edge pressed against a wall (2), thus clamping the band in position. The locking can be activated in reverse order with its round side (10) positioned by the lever. This provides space on the metal/plastic band, allowing the closure to be removed from the bottle.
