Dit wordt bij voorkeur aldus gerealiseerd dat de genoemde fluïdumdruk 1024893 2 geleverd wordt door een drukvat of windketel waarmee de l druk van het zich boven de telkens binnen een poot optredende waterspiegel bevindende fluïdum, dat gewoon uit lucht bestaan kan, geregeld wordt. De druk in élke poot 5 wordt telkens zo afgesteld dat een bij voorkeur horizontale evenwichtige stand van het platformdek verkregen wordt. De poten worden gekalmeerde poten genoemd want het hydraulische stelsel, dat zodoende verkregen wordt, omvat een gekalmeerde waterspiegel binnen elke poot, die de wa-10 terbeweging buiten de poot niet volgt, maar zijn vlakke evenwichtige stand op eenzelfde hoogteniveau bewaart. De standbewaring in de hoogterichting berust op de verticale ligging van een poot in de hoogterichting. Wenst men echter dat de poot ook zijn stand in de horizontale richting 15 bewaart, dan dient men de poot schuin in het water te steken. De in de tekening weergegeven combinatie van verticaal en hellend staande poten verdient uiteraard de voorkeur daar de poten dan een stevig 15 vakwerkverband vormen, waarbij de steunpoten dan gegord worden d.w.z. door de nodige verbindingen geschraagd worden zoals met 6 aangegeven is. Ook kunnen meerdere drijvende platforms gegord worden zodat een groot veldopper-vlak verkregen wordt waarop gebouwd kan worden.
