Beschrijving:Description:
Just as for human use, radiological techniques are also used for animal use.
The digital images in human radiology can be written in the DICOM format (Digital Imaging and 10 Communications in Medicine). Linked to this is an annotation of the patient data to the relevant images.
In addition, animals can also be provided with electronic identification by means of an implanted transponder, hereinafter referred to as a chip. By now entering the data from this chip, presented as a 15 barcode or as a 15-digit number, in the identification (ID) fields of DICOM, a link of data takes place which increases the chance of medical or technical changes is greatly reduced.
Dit wordt softwarematig vertaald naar de extensie “.DCM".20 Background to this link: The DICOM format has been developed by the ACR (American College of Radiology) in collaboration with the NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) in order to standardize the registration data of patients and the images of the different techniques and marks on a to archive in a uniform manner. This is software translated to the ".DCM" extension.
The layout and layout of the information that is recorded in DICOM will always be able to be adapted to new versions and technological developments.
To view these images, various viewer programs 30 are available, including e-film and Dicomworks and Osiris and Insight. Very recently this formatting has also been followed by a number of Dutch (human) radiologists. Veterinary this formatting is still unknown.
