Abstract

Each carrier strap (4) for holding the upper body girdle (2) and bust supporting parts (5, 7) extends in a loop around one breast and over both shoulders. A bra (1) comprises two bust supporting parts, an upper body girdle acting as a support for the bust supporting parts, two carrier straps extending over the shoulders to hold the girdle and bust supporting parts, and a fastener (3, 3) for securing the girdle around the upper body. Each carrier strap extends in a loop around one breast and over both shoulders. An Independent claim is also included for the carrier strap.

Bra, which is provided with two straps that are hung over the shoulders and holds up an upper body belt that carries the two bust supports.

This invention relates to a bra (bra) comprising two bust support parts (two bust supporting parts), an upper body girdle (upper body girdle), which supports the bust support parts, two shoulder straps (two carrier straps), which hold up the belt and the bust supports, and a closure to tighten the belt around the upper body.

Such a bra finds widespread use but has the drawback that the two carrying straps hang vertically in the middle of the shoulders and pick up the busts vertically, the busts receiving too little lateral support.

The intention is to obviate this drawback and to provide more lateral support, and for this purpose the bra according to the present invention is characterized in that the two carrying straps are each suspended over both shoulders in a loop from under a bust. The busts thus receive more support from the side and are therefore better supported and held up better.

A preferred embodiment of this new bra is such that the two carrier loop barids (carrier sling straps) are closed on the back with the same closure with which the belt can also be tightened. Furthermore, it is provided that both carrier loops at the front under the busts are connected to the belt, and it is also possible to provide that fle: carrier loops between the busts are also mutually connected.

An alternative embodiment, however, is that the strap loops are joined to the belt both at the front between the busts and at the back of the back and are arranged for a closure, which facilitates putting on the bra.

Furthermore, for optimum support of the busts, provision is made for each carrying loop to have an additional lower support loop part, which extends more over the center of the busts, and furthermore that each time between the lower support loop part and support loop part bust support part is sewn or otherwise arranged, with possibly a nipple holder included therein, and with a further upper bust support part.

The invention is further elucidated hereinbelow on the basis of a preferred embodiment thereof represented in the drawing.

In the single figure, the bra generally indicated by 1 comprises a belt 2 to be fitted around the upper body, which can be tightened with a closure 3 around the wearer's body, and two carrying loops 4, 4 which have a bust stop from both shoulders and which can also be closed with the closure 3. The closure 3 is usually located at the rear on the back of the wearer, but alternatively a closure can also be provided at the front between the busts, as indicated by 3 '.

The carrier loops 4, 4 can, as seen in the drawing, contain additional lower support loop parts 4 ', 4', with a bus support part 5 sewn between the lower support loop parts 4, 4 and support loop parts 4 ', 4' and therewith a nipple holder 6 and with a further bus support part 7. Possibly, modifications, variants and further extensions of the embodiments shown here can be provided by the person skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the invention as proposed, so that they are also included herein.

Claims (7)

Bra (bra) through which are included two bust supporting parts, an upper body belt (an upper body girdle), which carries the bust supports, two straps (two carrier straps) over the shoulders, which the belt and the bust supports and a closure to tighten the belt around the upper body, characterized in that the two carrying straps (4, 4) are each hung in a loop from under a bust over both shoulders. Bra according to claim 1, characterized in that the two carrier loop straps (4, 4) are closed on the back with the same closure (3) with which the belt (2) also to quote. 3. Bra as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that both carrier loop straps (4, 4) are connected to the belt (2) at the front under the busts. Bra according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the carrying loops (4, 4) are also interconnected between the busts.
