Abstract

The housing (2) on or adjacent to its base side, i.e. the compression side, is provided with a relatively small air passage aperture (6) with an adjustable passage (6,7,8). In the piston body (3) one or more valve apertures (3') are provided which form an open connection between the upper side and the under side of the body. An adjustment component is provided for regulating the extent of damping of the occurring closure force on the door frame and influences the output of a part of the total amount of outflowing air which can flow from the housing through the air outlet aperture. The adjustment component is located in or close to the base side (9) of the housing.
