Abstract

Acoustic emissions from one or more organs and/or prostheses in a living body may be measured with the subject placed in a liq. such that the parts to be observed are submerged. The liq. has an acoustic impedance approximately the same as that of the body. The acoustic emission is measured by detectors also submerged in the liq.
