Abstract

The floats (2,3) cover virtually all the surface of the liq., and the vessel (1) can be a storage basin for irrigation purposes, the floats preventing growth of algae. Each float can be ballasted, the ballast being below the level of the surface. The floats can be hollow bodies, with gaps accommodating the liq. to give the ballasting effect. They can be spherical and of 5 to 209 cm. dia.. Each float can have an external flange, the flanges butting against each other to cover the surface completely.
