Abstract

The seat (1) has flanks (11,12) at right angles to its top surface. Two stabilising supports (21a,b) are fastened by wing nuts (4a,b) so that their angle can be adjusted to the roof pitch. Almost any material can be used but aluminium is preferred. The supports should be at least 20 cm and preferably 40 cm wide so that they span at least three roof tiles. This spreads the load and also enhances stability. Tool trays can be added. A slot in the top surface enables the seat to be lifted with one hand.
