Abstract

The package is formed as a tubular element with sidewall panels (4, 5) connected in pairs by corner panels (6). Each corner panel has a recess to receive an edge corner (3) of the container. Some of the fold lines (7) between the package sidewall panels and corner panels are not parallel. The package sidewall panels and the corner panels may have a trapezoidal shape such as an isosceles trapezium. A tool arrangement is provided to slide the box shaped container from above into the package until the container flanged edges snap into the recesses in the package corner panels.
