Abstract

The metal or plastics brick course tray (1) has a bottom plate (6) which is the same width as a standard brick (15) and a multiple brick size in length. A back wall (4) and end walls (8,9) are bent up from the base and jointed at the corners. The front wall (5) is turned down. The end wall (8) is shaped to fit over and interlock with the end wall (9) of an adjacent tray forming a watertight connection. The height (H) of the end walls is clearly greater than the thickness of the mortar bed on which the bricks are laid. The rear wall (4) may be extended to form a sloping cavity closure.
