Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for opening and closing a transport box (1), in particular a transport box for transporting wafers, which is provided with at least one closing clip (3), which can be pivoted around a closing clip joint (2) that can be pivoted about a first axis of rotation, having a receiving unit (4) for receiving and holding the transport box (1), at least one contact element (5), at least one actuator (6) and at least one element (7), which can be rotated about a second axis of rotation (15) aligned parallel to the first axis of rotation. The contact element (5) is arranged at one end of the actuator (6) and the rotatable element (7) is arranged at another end of the actuator (6). The contact element (5) can be brought into contact with the closing clip (3) by means of a rotary motion of the rotatable ele-ment (7) and is configured in such a way that, when the rotatable element (7) is rotated about the second axis of rotation (15) in a first direction, the contact element (5) moves into a first stop position against an outer side (8) of the closing clip (3) and, in a pivoting motion about the first axis of rotation of the closing clip joint (2), moves the closing clip (3) in the direction of the transport box (1), with the result that the closing clip (3) latches into a latching tongue (10) of the transport box (1) and closes the transport box (1), and, when the rotatable element (7) is rotated about the second axis of rotation (15) in a second direction opposed to the first direction, the contact element (5) moves into a second stop position against an outer side (9) of the transport box (1) and, if the transport box (1) is closed by the closing clip (3), moves into an interspace (11) between the outer side (9) of the transport box (1) and a tongue (12) of the closing clip (3), wherein a width or a diameter of the contact element (5) is chosen in such a way that the closing clip (3) can be moved away from the latching tongue (10) through the exertion of a force by the rotation. The actuator (6) is arranged eccentrically on the rotatable element (7) with respect to the second axis of rotation (15).
