Abstract
A method for manufacturing a copper wire rod, which obtains a copper wire rod made of copper or a copper alloy, includes a preparation step of preparing an up-cast material obtained by performing up-drawing casting such that a cast rod drawn upward from a cast mold has a wire diameter of 8 mm or more and a ratio of an up-drawing cycle of the cast rod to the wire diameter is 0.5 or less, and a wire-drawing step of obtaining a drawn wire rod by subjecting the up-cast material to wire-drawing with a degree of processing of 40% or more.
