Abstract
An emergency planning and response management (EPRM) system (102) for managing responses to emergencies in a process plant is provided herein. The EPRM system (102) includes a capture module (502) for receiving emergency planning and response (EPR) information from a user device, and an evaluate module (504) for evaluating the EPR information and identifying gaps in process plant safety based on predefined systematic checklist. The EPRM system (102) further includes a verify module (506) for verifying requirements for EPR element of process safety management (PSM) are practiced, and an alert module (508) for sending alerts to at least one user based on identification of at least one gap or malfunctioning of an EPR requirement.
