Abstract

The present invention discloses an air conditioning unit (100) of the type adapted to be ceiling-suspended, the unit (100) comprising: a main body (120) which has: an inlet (181) for the ingress of air to the unit (100), the inlet (181) being disposed at one end of the body (120), at least one attachment member (112 & 113) provided at said one end of the body (120) for attaching the body (120) and/or receiving a complementary ceiling mounting device (111) so that the body (120), in use, will be suspended, and an outlet (182) at an opposite end of the body (120) for the egress of conditioned air; wherein the outlet (182) includes an air distribution panel (160) to control the coverage of the egressed air when in an open condition and to shut off the outlet (182) when in a closed condition.
