Abstract

A hair and scalp diagnosis system (100) and method for diagnosing patients hair and scalp condition and recommending a treatment are provided. The hair and scalp diagnosis system (100) comprises a processing module (110) configured to scan, using a scanner (106) coupled to the processing module (110) of the hair and scalp diagnosis system (100), the hair and scalp of a patient using at least two magnification levels, in multiple stages. Compare the scanned output at each stage with images in a database (114) associated with the hair and scalp diagnosis system (100). Automatically identify the closest match for the patients scanned output to determine the scalp and hair condition. Recommend a treatment based on the determined scalp and hair condition.
