Abstract
A target for firearm projectiles, characterized by a body comprising multiple sheets of at least one type biopolymer, said body being operable, when penetrated by a bullet to stretch and deform and then to form an opening therethrough which reseals after the bullet has passed. The sheets of biopolymer are thermally pressed with an adhesive to construct the body of the target, and herein the biopolymers are selected from the group consisting of hemi-cellulose as the polymer backbone.
