If judging that the road (100) is a sloping road on the basis of the detected gradient, the CPU (11) prevents issuance of a warning about an excessive engine rotation speed of the vehicle (8). And, if the speed v of the vehicle (8) satisfies the prescribed condition, the CPU (11) issues a warning relating to a vehicle speed. (FIG. 1)
