A method drying Acacia wood comprising the steps of air-drying the wood for 2 weeks to 1 month; subjecting the wood to microwave radiation in a continuous manner for at least one cycle; and drying the microwave treated wood to a moisture content of less than 10 % according to a drying schedule.
