Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of providing an electric wire manipulation tool (1, 1B), a component for an electric wire manipulation tool, an electric wire cutting method, and an electric wire connecting method, which alleviate the burden on a worker and enable electric wire cutting work and electric wire connecting work to be performed safely and efficiently. An electric wire manipulation tool ( 1, 1B) is provided with a first electric wire gripping implement (2), a first rod member (3) linked to the first electric wire gripping implement (2) and that can extend and contract by movement of a moving part (32) relative to a base (30), a second electric wire gripping implement (4), a second rod member (5) linked to the second electric wire gripping implement (4), a first linking implement (60) that links the first rod member (3) and the second rod member (5) to enable relative movement, a movement limiting member (7) that limits movement of the first rod member (3) relative to the second rod member (5), and a first electric wire support implement (80) that moves together with the moving part ( 32) of the first rod member ( 3) . The electric wire manipulation tool ( 1, 1B) makes it possible to overcome the problem.
