Abstract

A deionized water manufacturing system that is supplied with raw water and that manufactures deionized water is provided with: a reverse-osmosis membrane device (RO device) (51, 52) to which raw water is supplied; and an electrodeionization device (EDI device) (10, 15) equipped with a deionization chamber (23) which is partitioned by an ion exchange membrane (32, 33) and to which the permeated water of the reverse-osmosis membrane device (51, 52) is supplied. In the EDI device, an ion exchanger is packed inside the deionization chamber (23), and particles containing polyvalent metal are adsorbed onto a surface of at least one of at least a portion of the ion exchange membrane and at least a portion of the ion exchanger.
