Abstract

The present disclosure discloses a method and device for identity authentication, and relates to the field of information security technologies, so as to implement securer identity authentication. Main technical solutions of the present disclosure are as follows: A predetermined amount of fingerprint information is first selected from a user's plurality of recorded fingerprints (101); then, a predetermined amount of fingerprint information successively entered by the user based on fingerprint input prompt information is received (102); next, the received predetermined amount of fingerprint information is matched against the selected predetermined amount of fingerprint information (103); and it is confirmed that identity authentication succeeds when the received predetermined amount of fingerprint information matches the selected predetermined amount of fingerprint information (104).
