Abstract

The present invention discloses a composite electrode with tunable properties for electronic devices and a method thereof. The composite electrode comprises a first component comprising a conducting polymer of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) or PEDOT and a second component comprising graphene. The conducting polymer of PEDOT is prepared from a poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)- poly(styrenesulfonate) or PEDOT:PSS dispersion. The graphene includes an exfoliated graphene dispersion with graphene flakes or micro sheets that are derived directly from graphite. The PEDOT:PSS dispersion is deployed to the said graphene at a composite weight ratio of between 1:1 and 4:1 and the resulting article is subjected to an organic solvent treatment for removing an ionomer of poly(styrenesulfonate) or PSS therefrom. The composite electrode resulting thereof exhibits conductivity of about 4000 S/m.
