Abstract

A display device and a television receiver in which it is possible to prevent deterioration in sound quality of sound output from a sound output device which includes a plurality of sound output units are provided. The display device is provided with a front cabinet (11) which surrounds a peripheral edge portion of a display panel (2) which displays an image from a front side; a rear cabinet (12) which covers a rear side of the front cabinet (11); a plurality of opening portions (116) which are open to the front cabinet (11) on respective left and right sides at a lower part of a front face; and a plurality of sound output units which face the respective plurality of opening portions (116), in which the front cabinet (11), or the plurality of sound output units include partitioning units which partition the respective plurality of opening portions (116).
